As part of its sponsorship with the table-topping side, rural full fibre broadband provider Gigaclear has provided a new electronic scoreboard so supporters can keep an accurate tally of how many points are scored during matches.

Gigaclear, which is currently extending its full fibre broadband network to more than 4,400 homes and businesses in the town, has agreed to sponsor the rugby club’s mini and junior section with a series of fun ‘challenges’ staged regularly throughout the season. 

Amanda Palmer, Youth Chair at Marlborough Rugby, welcomed Gigaclear’s support of the club and said the Minis and Juniors were set to benefit from Gigaclear’s involvement.

She said: “It’s been a great season so far for Marlborough Rugby with the first team posting some very impressive scores that can only serve to inspire and motivate our younger members. Gigaclear’s sponsorship of our fun challenges will undoubtedly encourage them further. We recognise the importance of fast and reliable broadband for many homeowners and businesses these days and therefore we welcome the company’s efforts to extend its full fibre network in the town.”

More than 800 homes in the town can already access Gigaclear’s broadband network with the remaining 3,500 properties due to be connected by the summer.
